Anti-MT4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein metallothionein 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 62 amino acid residues and a mass of 6.5 kDa. It is a member of the Metallothionein protein superfamily. Synonyms for this target antigen include metallothionein-IV. MT4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. These MT4 antibodies are widely used in ELISA experiments, among other applications.
