Anti-Vezatin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Vezatin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the VEZT gene, which encodes vezatin, adherens junctions transmembrane protein. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of Vezatin has a canonical amino acid length of 779 residues and a protein mass of 88.7 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Vezatin is a member of the Vezatin protein family.
