Anti-IL1 alpha antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the IL1 alpha antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IL1A gene, which encodes interleukin 1 alpha. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. The human version of IL1 alpha has a canonical amino acid length of 271 residues and a protein mass of 30.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasm, and is secreted of cells. This target antigen may also be known as IL1. Western Blot is the most common application for the IL1 alpha antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
