Anti-MRO antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein maestro. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 248 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Synonyms for this target antigen include beside the Ma29 deletion, male-specific transcription in the developing reproductive organs, and protein maestro. MRO gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some MRO antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
