Anti-NKRP1A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NKRP1A is a known alias name of the protein killer cell lectin like receptor B1, encoded by the KLRB1 gene in humans. This 225-amino acid residue protein is known to play an inhibitory role on natural killer (NK) cells cytotoxicity. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in a subset of NK cells predominantly in intestinal epithelium and liver. Other synonyms for NKRP1A include CD161, CD161, and CLEC5B.
