Anti-TMEM106A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 106A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 262 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in renal cells. A member of the TMEM106 protein family, TMEM106A is known to be involved with innate immune responses and NF-kappaB signaling pathways. TMEM106A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some TMEM106A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
