Anti-OTOG antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein otogelin. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2925 amino acid residues and a mass of 314.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Otogelin protein family, OTOG is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Post-translational modifications have been described, including O-glycosylation and N-glycosylation. The OTOG gene has been associated with the disease, Deafness. OTOG gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These Otog antibodies are widely used in ELISA experiments, among other applications.
