Anti-CAM2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CAM2 is a known alias name of the protein calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II beta, encoded by the CAMK2B gene in humans. This 666-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell differentiation and nervous system development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. The term CAMK2 is another synonym for CAM2. Western Blot is the most common application for the CAM2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
