Anti-SRP55 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SRP55 is a known alias name of the protein serine and arginine rich splicing factor 6, encoded by the SRSF6 gene in humans. This 344-amino acid residue protein is reported to play a role in constitutive splicing and modulates the selection of alternative splice sites. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for SRP55 include B52, HEL-S-91, and SFRS6.
