Anti-Kv1.3 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene KCNA3, or 'potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily A member 3' in humans. The 575-amino acid protein is a member of the Potassium channel family, A (Shaker) (TC 1.A.1.2) subfamily, Kv1.3/KCNA3 sub-subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
