Anti-ARHGAP36 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Rho GTPase activating protein 36. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 547 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.7 kDa. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and adrenal gland. ARHGAP36 is known to be a GTPase activator for the Rho-type GTPases by converting them to an inactive GDP-bound state. ARHGAP36 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some ARHGAP36 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
