Anti-COX41 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target COX41 is a known alias name of the protein cytochrome c oxidase subunit 4I1, encoded by the COX4I1 gene in humans. This 169-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the cytochrome c oxidase, the last enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain which drives oxidative phosphorylation. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for COX41 include COX IV-1, COX4, and COX4-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the COX41 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
