Anti-GluR4 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene GRIA4, or 'glutamate ionotropic receptor AMPA type subunit 4' in humans. The 902-amino acid protein is a member of the Glutamate-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.10.1) family, GRIA4 subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
