Anti-HSPB3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein heat shock protein family B (small) member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 150 amino acid residues and a mass of 17 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Small heat shock protein (HSP20) protein family, HSPB3 is known as an inhibitor of actin polymerization. The HSPB3 gene has been associated with the disease, Neuronopathy. Synonyms for this target antigen include HMN2C, HSPL27, heat shock protein beta-3, HSP 17, heat shock 17 kDa protein, and DHMN2C. HSPB3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some HSPB3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
