Anti-LEPROTL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein leptin receptor overlapping transcript like 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 131 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be widely expressed, with highest expression in the heart, testis, adrenal gland, thymus, and spleen, and lowest expression in the lung and skeletal muscle. It is a member of the OB-RGRP/VPS55 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include Vps55, my047, endospanin-2, and HSPC112. LEPROTL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are common applications for Leprotl1 antibodies.
