Anti-PROX2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein prospero homeobox 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 592 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Prospero homeodomain protein family, PROX2 is known to be involved with nervous system development and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include prospero homeobox protein 2 and homeobox prospero-like protein PROX2. PROX2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the PROX2 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
