Anti-TULP4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TUB like protein 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1543 amino acid residues and a mass of 169 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the brain, skeletal muscle, testis and kidney. A member of the TUB protein family, TULP4 is believed to be a substrate-recognition component of a SCF-like ECS (Elongin-Cullin-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin ligase complex which mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include tubby like protein 4, tubby super-family protein, tubby superfamily protein, and tubby-related protein 4. TULP4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the TULP4 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
