Anti-MICAL like 1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MICALL1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 863 amino acid residues and a mass of 93.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is a suspected lipid-binding protein with higher affinity for phosphatidic acid, a lipid enriched in recycling endosome membranes. Other names for this target antigen include MICAL-like protein 1 and molecule interacting with Rab13.
