Anti-Transgelin 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TAGLN3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 199 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.5 kDa. It is found to be widely expressed in the brain. A member of the Calponin protein family, it is known to be involved with nervous system development and the regulation of transcription. Other names for this target antigen include NP24, NP25, neuronal protein 22, neuronal protein NP25, and NP22. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Transgelin 3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
