Anti-GDAP2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ganglioside induced differentiation associated protein 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 497 amino acid residues and a mass of 56.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the GDAP2 protein family. The GDAP2 gene has been associated with the disease, Spinocerebellar ataxia. Synonyms for this target antigen include MACROD3 and SCAR27. GDAP2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the GDAP2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
