Anti-Claudin 4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CLDN4 in humans. The Claudin 4 protein has a reported amino acid length of 209 and an expected mass of 22.1 kDa. The protein may also be known as CPE-R, CPER, CPETR, CPETR1, CPE-receptor, and Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin receptor 1. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
