Anti-immunoglobulin kappa variable 1-5 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the IGKV1-5 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 117 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and is secreted. It is noted to be involved in adaptive immune responses. A number of immunoglobulin kappa variable 1-5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Flow Cytometry is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
