Anti-Mediator complex subunit 12 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene MED12 in humans. The gene may also be known as SHR, HOPA, ARC240, CAGH45, FGS1, and mediator of RNA polymerase II transcription subunit 12. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 243.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
