Anti-COX4NB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the COX4NB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the EMC8 gene, which encodes ER membrane protein complex subunit 8. This protein is known to be a part of the endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein complex (EMC) that enables the energy-independent insertion into endoplasmic reticulum membranes of newly synthesized membrane proteins. The human version of COX4NB has a canonical amino acid length of 210 residues and a protein mass of 23.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include C16orf2 and C16orf4. Indicated applications for COX4NB antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
