Anti-Acetylcholinesterase antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene ACHE, or 'acetylcholinesterase (Cartwright blood group)' in humans. The 614-amino acid protein is a member of the Type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family. The cellular localization is predicted to be nuclear, membrane-associated and secreted. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
