Anti-ANKIB1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ankyrin repeat and IBR domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1089 amino acid residues and a mass of 122 kDa. A member of the RBR protein family, ANKIB1 is suspected to act as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, or as part of E3 complex, which accepts ubiquitin from specific E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes and then transfers it to substrates. Synonyms for this target antigen include ankyrin repeat and IBR domain-containing protein 1. ANKIB1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ANKIB1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunoprecipitation is also a common application.
