Anti-CABIN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calcineurin binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2220 amino acid residues and a mass of 246.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be widely expressed in different tissues. CABIN1 is believed to be required for replication-independent chromatin assembly. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include KB-318B8.7, PPP3IN, calcineurin-binding protein cabin-1, calcineurin binding protein cabin 1, calcineurin inhibitor, and CAIN. CABIN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CABIN1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
