Anti-cytohesin 3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CYTH3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 400 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to promote guanine-nucleotide exchange on ARF1 and ARF6. Other names for this target antigen include GRP1, PSCD3, ARF nucleotide-binding site opener 3, PH, SEC7 and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 3, general receptor of phosphoinositides 1, and ARNO3.
