Anti-NR3C3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NR3C3 is a known alias name of the protein progesterone receptor, encoded by the PGR gene in humans. This 933-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell to cell signaling and lung development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated, sumoylated, palmitoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, endometrium, cervix, and breast. A number of NR3C3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
