Anti-hNR3 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The hNR3 antigen is another term for the human protein glutamate ionotropic receptor NMDA type subunit 2B, encoded by the GRIN2B gene. The protein is known to be a component of NMDA receptor complexes that function as heterotetrameric, ligand-gated ion channels with high calcium permeability and voltage-dependent sensitivity to magnesium. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1484 residues and a mass of 166.4 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, lysosomes and cytoplasm and it is expressed in the cerebellum. The hNR3 protein is a member of the Glutamate-gated ion channel (TC 1.A.10.1) protein family. Other alias names for hNR3 include DEE27, EIEE27, and GluN2B. Some hNR3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies.
