Anti-TATA-box binding protein antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TBP in humans. The gene may also be known as GTF2D, GTF2D1, HDL4, SCA17, TATA sequence-binding protein, and TATA-box binding protein N-terminal domain. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 37.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
