Anti-Twist family bHLH transcription factor 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TWIST1 in humans. The gene may also be known as twist homolog 1 (Drosophila), CRS1, TWIST, ACS3, twist-related protein 1, and BPES2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 21 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
