Anti-FKBP15 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FKBP prolyl isomerase family member 15. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1219 amino acid residues and a mass of 133.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the FKBP-type PPIase protein family, FKBP15 is suspected to be involved in the cytoskeletal organization of neuronal growth cones. Synonyms for this target antigen include KIAA0674, PPP1R76, FK506-binding protein 15, 133 kDa FK506-binding protein, 133 kDa FKBP, and FKBP133. FKBP15 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FKBP15 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
