Anti-CRTC3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CREB regulated transcription coactivator 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 619 amino acid residues and a mass of 67 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the B and T lymphocytes. A member of the TORC protein family, CRTC3 is reported to be a transcriptional coactivator for CREB1 which activates transcription through both consensus and variant cAMP response element (CRE) sites. Synonyms for this target antigen include transducer of regulated cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) 3, and transducer of regulated CREB protein 3. CRTC3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. A number of CRTC3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
