Anti-CPNE7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein copine 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 633 amino acid residues and a mass of 70.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, testis, thymus and small intestine. A member of the Copine protein family, CPNE7 is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids. Synonyms for this target antigen include copine VII. CPNE7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CPNE7 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
