Anti-CDHR2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cadherin related family member 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1310 amino acid residues and a mass of 141.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be highly expressed in the liver, kidney and colon. CDHR2 is known to be involved with epithelial cell differentiation and cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCLCK, PCLKC, protocadherin-24, and PCDH24. CDHR2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CDHR2 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunofluorescence is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunocytochemistry is also a common application.
