Anti-Tax1 binding protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene TAX1BP1 in humans. The gene may also be known as CALCOCO3, T6BP, TXBP151, TRAF6-binding protein, and Tax1 (human T-cell leukemia virus type I) binding protein 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 90.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
