Anti-LAD1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ladinin 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 517 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. The LAD1 marker can be used to identify Migratory Dendritic Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include linear IgA bullous dermatosis antigen, linear IgA disease antigen homolog, and LadA. LAD1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some LAD1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
