Anti-Tumstatin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Tumstatin is a known alias name of the protein collagen type IV alpha 3 chain, encoded by the COL4A3 gene in humans. This 1670-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the cervix, tonsil, and appendix. Other synonyms for Tumstatin include ATS2, ATS3, and BFH2. ELISA is the most common application for the Tumstatin antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
