Anti-Rptpb antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Rptpb is a known alias name of the protein protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type Z1, encoded by the PTPRZ1 gene in humans. This 2315-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in neuronal development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. Other synonyms for Rptpb include HPTPZ, HPTPzeta, and PTP-ZETA.
