Anti-Oligo2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Oligo2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the OLIG2 gene, which encodes oligodendrocyte transcription factor 2. This protein is known to function in neuronal development and neuronal differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of Oligo2 has a canonical amino acid length of 323 residues and a protein mass of 32.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the placenta, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. Other names for this target antigen include BHLHB1 and PRKCBP2.
