Anti-MAMDC2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein MAM domain containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 686 amino acid residues and a mass of 77.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. MAMDC2 is known to be involved with nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including O-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MAM domain-containing proteoglycan, mamcan, and MAM domain-containing protein 2. MAMDC2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MAMDC2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
