Anti-GON7 subunit of KEOPS complex antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the GON7 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 100 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is a known component of the EKC/KEOPS complex that is required for the formation of a threonylcarbamoyl group on adenosine at position 37 (t(6)A37) in tRNAs that read codons beginning with adenine. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Galloway-Mowat syndrome. Other names for this target antigen include GON7, KEOPS complex subunit homolog, uncharacterized protein C14orf142, and EKC/KEOPS complex subunit GON7. Gene orthologs have been identified in the rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
