Anti-TLC domain containing 5 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TLCD5 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 245 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the TLCD5 protein family. Other names for this target antigen include TLC domain-containing protein 5 and transmembrane protein 136. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
