Anti-mitochondrial matrix import factor 23 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MIX23 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 144 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.6 kDa. It is a member of the MIX23 protein family. Other names for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain containing 58, coiled-coil domain-containing protein 58, and protein MIX23. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
