Anti-niban apoptosis regulator 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the NIBAN3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 697 amino acid residues and a mass of 77.4 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 7 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in B-lymphocytes. It is a member of the Niban protein family. Other names for this target antigen include B-cell novel protein 1, family with sequence similarity 129 member C, niban-like protein 2, and protein Niban 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
