Anti-STING1 ER exit protein 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the STEEP1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 222 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the STEEP1 protein family, it is known to be involved with Golgi transport. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Intellectual developmental disorder. Other names for this target antigen include STING ER exit protein and UPF0428 protein CXorf56. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
