Anti-CYFIP related Rac1 interactor B antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CYRIB gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 324 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is a member of the CYRI protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Other names for this target antigen include CYRI, FAM49B, L1, FAM49B/JPH1 fusion, MTSS1/FAM49B fusion, and BM-009. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
