Anti-adenosine deaminase tRNA specific 3 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ADAT3 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 351 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.1 kDa. It is a member of the Cytidine and deoxycytidylate deaminase protein family. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Neurodevelopmental disorder with brain abnormalities, poor growth, and dysmorphic facies. Other names for this target antigen include adenosine deaminase, tRNA-specific 3, TAD3 homolog, tRNA-specific adenosine-34 deaminase subunit ADAT3, and probable inactive tRNA-specific adenosine deaminase-like protein 3. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, zebrafish and chimpanzee species.
