Anti-ALG14 UDP-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase subunit antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ALG14 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 216 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and ER. A member of the ALG14 protein family, it is known to be involved in protein N-glycosylation. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Myasthenic syndrome. Other names for this target antigen include UDP-N-acetylglucosamine transferase subunit ALG14 homolog. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
